TMNT 15 C Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #15 ReviewWhether you grew up watching the movies, tuning into the television series or playing the old video games chances are at some point in your childhood you got some exposure to these staple characters.  And if you’re like me, you’ll feel a warm and fuzzy sensation knowing that they’re around for a whole new generation to enjoy.  They’ve endured a lot of shifts and narrative changes over the years, but this latest comic book is starting to seem like the dream rendition of this saga.

Tom Waltz handles the script dreamed up by him and Kevin Eastman, with some excellent results.  From the first to the final page, this story is rip-roaring with some solid pacing as our dynamic cast of characters progress through some of their latest jaunts in the city, while a monster lurks in the shadows.  The end result is some of the best work in this series’ brief history as each moment offers forward momentum literally propelling the comic book to an outstanding cliffhanger.

Andy Kuhn continues his work as this title’s resident artist, and his unique style allows this comic book to simply drip with substance.  His dynamic yet deformed characters make the world quite accessible as each pencil stroke offers up a visceral kinetic experience that’s simply second to none.  If you’re considering buying this latest adventure starring the Heroes in a Half-Shell, the art is a solid reason to pick it up.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #15 is a fantastic release that continues the positive momentum in this consistently entertaining series.  Recommended.
