Well the wonders of the New 52 continue, with the latest creative stunt from DC set to hit comic stands next week, in Justice League #12.
When the reboot happened last year, Clark Kent lost his marriage to Lois Lane and wouldn’t you know it the big blue boy-scout is lonely. Thank goodness he found comfort and solace in the arms of his new girlfriend… Wonder Woman!
Here’s a snippet from the Entertainment Weekly article, that was responsible for the reveal:
The comic, which goes on sale Aug. 29, culminates months of flirty foreshadowing. Writer Geoff Johns hints that some event — possibly tragic — will impact every member of the Justice League, and cause Superman and Wonder Woman to seek solace in each other and move from super-powered colleagues to power couple. This is no one-issue stunt: “This is the new status quo,” says Johns, adding that the relationship will have a seismic impact on all the heroes and villains in the DC universe.
Jim Lee had this to say on the brand new relationship:
Hopefully this will raise a lot of eyebrows. We welcome the watercooler chatter.
