THE STRAIN: THE NIGHT ETERNAL #3

The final chapter in the Strain series is just getting hot but let me tell you this issue isn’t for the faint of heart. Read on to find out more.

As Ephraim Goodweather descends further into madness, dissecting an injured vampire and convinced that he can find something within its physiology that will give the rebellion an advantage, Vasiliy Fet finds an unlikely ally and makes a deal with someone very close to the Master. Meanwhile, Nora Martinez finds herself within the gates of the mysterious and terrifying Camp Liberty, a place no one ever leaves.

The Strain has been an interesting device that has really reinvented 19198 (1)the vampire genre, in a time when things needed to be reinvented aka Twilight. This issue is no different. We have Goodweather, who has not always been the saniest person ever but he is really jumping off the deep end in this issues. He is really going to town on a vampire and it is kind of sad. Then we have Fet who is not only a big surprise for this issue but really makes me wonder where this story is going to go. Then we have Nora, who has pretty much been sent to a death camp. It is really too bad and I am not sure that her character will live after this round.

David Lapham is a wonderful writer and does a great job of adapting the story that Del Toro created. It is a fantastic adaptation and this issue has it all. It has blood, gore, and a great story. There isn’t much else that you need.

Mike Huddleston is a fantastic artist that really brings out the story in the form of art. Overall, I would say that this issue really shines because there is so much that happens and it really allows the artist to shine through.

The Strain: Night Eternal #3 does a great job of continuing the story and adding surprises.
