Star Mage #6 Review

The first series comes to end with explosive results, but will everyone make it out? Read on to find out more.

JC De La Torre’s thrilling first series of Star Mage comes to a close as all roads lead to the Planet of Sorrows. The quartet battle for their lives in a final showdown with Orasmas and the Bel Etu – can Darien save his family and friends? Franco Cespedes’ vivid visuals spellbound in this magical finale.

So Darien is dealing with a lot with the Planet of Sorrow. It is literally the most nerve wrackingStarMage-06-pr-1-64560 and fun that I have had in a comic for a while. It is quick, whitty, moving, and more. I will say that this comic has been intense but mostly light hearted and fun, but this issue is something a little more intense, which really works as a comic, especially for this series. The battle between the four people/groups is very cool because of the different ideas and need behind it. It really is fantastic. Also, the very end opens up for another series, but there is a little bit of troubling things going on in the end. I will not be ruining the ending for you because you should really look at this series.

JC De La Torre does a great job of bringing the characters to life and making us feel for them. We have grown not only with Darien but with the friends and family that he has made. This issue is really the shining moment because we have grown but we have to see some dark side of the character and the loss. Franco Cespedes does a great job of showing the different aspects of the fight and conveying the emotions through the colors and lines drawn in the story. It is really great.

Star Mage #6 is a great story and an end to an arc that leave you excited.
