SDCC: Greg Rucka and Marco Checchetto to end their run on The Punisher

It’s official, the acclaimed team of Greg Rucka and Marco Checchetto will be leaving The Punisher, but don’t fret fans because they’re going to finish their run in style.

You may remember the “This Is War” teasers we reported on awhile back, if not you can see them below:

During the Amazing Spider-Man panel at Comic-Con International, it was confirmed that the brand new Punisher: War Zone title would be a five-issue mini-series event, that will feature a grand final opus for the exiting creative team.

Marvel.com Associate Editor Ben Morse revealed the news with this description:

Greg Rucka and Marco Checchetto will wrap their run on The Punisher with the five issue limited series Punisher War Zone which starts in October and has the Avengers finally deciding to take care of the Frank Castle problem.

So what do you guys think?  Does this sound like a good, epic way for the team to end their time with the character?  Personally, I think so, but we want to hear what your thoughts and opinions are.  So sound off with ’em in the comments section below.
