The official description from Dark Horse:

Biotechnician Elise Fong is destined to discover a vital weapon against the Terminators, and Skynet has no intention of waiting until she does! Targeted for actions in her future, Fong’s only hope in the present is the ex-CIA operative tasked with kidnapping her. But can even CIA training stop a T-800?

Terminator-Enemy of My Enemy 2_Preview Page 1It’s a good time to be a Terminator fan! We have a new movie that’s about to start filming and a comic book company re-dedicated to the aged franchise. If that’s not enough the two existing titles are high caliber, as they attack different eras that frequent followers are certainly more than familiar with. To sum up this particular yarn: it’s a thrilling ride that’ll hold your attention.

Dan Jolley handles the narrative tissue well by yielding a simple arc. We have a scientist in the eighties that might just be the key to a weapon that could hamper the plans for Skynet’s T-800 models. I’ll grant that if you think about certain aspects of the story it does feel a bit paper-thin. But the author does such a fine job moving the pieces along, giving them obstacles and keeping the pace that the ride just works in all the right ways.

The art done by Jamal Igle is the strongest portion of these festivities, as the illustrative talent does a marvelous job giving us a cold cybernetic organism. The battle sequences are over the top but fluent. Sadly the moments when our ex-CIA operative takes on the Terminator solo the panels, not because of technical features, come off a bit wonky. Still the colors done by Moose Baumann work within the narrative to easily complete the visual component in the right light.

The Terminator: Enemy of My Enemy #2 is another solid entry that entertains as long as you don’t dissect the details of its burgeoning plot. With a strong creative team at its back this comic book stays on target and earns a recommendation from me.
