The official description from Marvel:

• The electrifying conclusion to the Dos Soles story!
• Will L.A. burn, or can Frank fight fire with fire?
• And even if Frank can overcome A.I.M. and the Dos Soles, can he escape the ever-tightening noose of the Howling Commandos?

The Punisher #6 previewThe Punisher has been a very enjoyable series acting as a brilliant alternative to the superhero genre. The way that the series has put Frank through his paces has really impressed me with his current target being a more difficult than most. This issue sees Frank get the upper hand slightly but just as he negates Electro he’s faced with a barrage of enemies as both Domino and the Howling Commandos enter the fray.

Nathan Edmondson writes a gripping and intense issue that had me enthralled throughout. The way that he allowed the story to evolve from a straight forward fight into an explosive barrage really impressed me with Frank’s confusion and determination adding to the overall gritty atmosphere. The excitement and overall intensity of the issue was also through the roof with it being a fabulous action based comic. I did however ultimately find the fast pace and constant change of foe to be a little too much for one issue.

Mitchell Gerads has really impressed me with his artwork on this series as despite having my scepticism when the series was announced he has yet to fail to impress. The intensity of his stunning visuals make you feel as if your watching an action film with the layout having a cinematic vibe to it. The explosive flow that this ultimately gives to the issue was also splendid with it helping to add some continuity to the story’s fast pace. Gerads also once again produced phenomenal colours as well with them adding a intensity and yet more grit to this explosive issue.

The Punisher takes a drastic twist of fate in this issue with the overwhelming attack being one of Frank’s toughest yet. The issue itself is however a little too quickly paced with it possibly having too much development. Despite this it’s still a terrific read and one that I strongly recommend.
