Judge Dredd #21 Review

Anderson comes back in a very interesting way, read on to find out more.

“To Live and Die in Deadworld”-Judge Anderson is presumed dead, her body hopelessly transformed into the most mysterious of the new Dark Judges-JUDGE BLANK. But don’t count Anderson out yet. Her consciousness is loose in the vast, cold expanse of Deadworld, and she’s desperately trying to find her way back to Mega-City One. But where she ends up just might be the most frightening place of all…

Okay, so the latest story arc has been that I have really enjoyed , STK642668even though, they “killed” one of my favorite Judges, Judge Anderson. However, at the end of the last issue there was a teaser that Anderson was not dead. The great thing is she is not dead. This whole issue is about her and what happened to her. She goes and brings forth this idea that when she died she held on to the part of her that is human, using her physic powers, this allowed her to maintain somewhat who she was. However, there is a price and that includes her having to fight a creature in her mind. It is very intense. You must read this issue. It is heart breaking and wonderful.

The writing is fantastic and works for this issue. I mean it is really something special. You get to feel for the characters a sense of pain and fear but there is, also, there is an idea of hope. I really have to commend them on this.

The art is fantastic and is really highlighting a lot with this series, especially this issue. When Anderson has to fight the creature, the use of colors is so great with evil being dark and the good being  light colored, it is very cool.

Judge Dredd #21 is a great addition to a very interesting story arc.
