With Nara back in action, we have a showdown coming up but with a couple of big reveals will this be enough to save the world? Read on to find out more.

The official description from Image:

As Nara begins to pay the price for her repeated resurrections, Pitch makes a move to cement his power.

Dead-17-BlasphemyThrone04-Page1-e409fNara is a strong character that really knows her stuff and it really shows in this issue of Dead @ 17. So this issue starts, with Nara kicking ass and Pitch is slowly noticing and decides to do something to make sure that he can win the war. However, it is at a big prices. Then we learn that Nara isn’t without fault because with her resurrections and that will play in later in the series, I feel. We learn of one big thing that Nara has to deal with and her friend/lover is not prepared for it. She is a confusing character and I didn’t really care for this reveal. You can let me know what you think but it kind of made me mad. Then, the ending is kind of predictable, with there being a mole but the person that gets hurt was something that I was not prepared for and that person may actually be dead, so it was kind of sad.

Josh Howard does double duty as writer and artist which is really cool. However, I feel that this issue faulted a lot. The big reveal was something I didn’t think was necessary and it felt forced but I am hoping that it doesn’t play a big part. Also, I felt that some of things with the prisoners was predictable. I knew that there was something going on. It just took me out of it.  However, the art is fantastic and was the strongest part of this issue. I do think that it will get better.

Dead @ 17 has predictable parts and has faults but the visuals are great.
