What will happen when Britt confronts an impostor Green Hornet? Read on to find out.

The official description from Dynamite:

FINAL ISSUE!!! The grand finale–and the ultimate victor stands bloodied but unbowed! Will it be Britt Reid–or the Green Hornet?

GHWaid13CovSubscriptionLauGreen Hornet reaches it’s finale as Dynamite’s most recent pulp era seems to be coming to an end. Following Britt’s decision to quit being the Green Hornet a copycat appears with the impostor having stolen Britt’s costume and stinger. As events unfold the story eventually twists it’s way to a stunning climax as despite the identity of this impostor Hornet being rather obvious the gripping events proved to be sensational.

Mark Waid‘s final issue of the Green Hornet proves to be just as good as his first (if not better). His stunning run on the pulp icon has proven to be a must read for fans of either character or writer being an exhilarating read. In this thrilling finale Waid gives awe and suspense like he’s never done so before with the tension and atmosphere being superb. It was however the eventual encounter between Britt and “the Green Hornet” that impressed me the most with the revelation being very dramatic. Which says something considering it was obvious.

Ronilson Freire matches the exhilarating tone of the issue with his dynamic art. The detailed artwork of Freire has been one of the series strong points with the beautiful scenery and explosive action being truly stunning. It was however the intensity of the characters body language and facial expressions that’s impress me the most with Freire’s visuals for revelation of the impostor Green Hornet adding that much more drama. Mácio Menyz‘ pallet also proves as amazing as ever with his finish capping off this tantalising artwork brilliantly.

Green Hornet ends in a blaze of glory as Waid produces the best script of the series. The exhilarating developments and gripping interactions make this a sensational conclusion and a must have for any Green Hornet fans. Highly recommended.
