The official description from Dynamite:

As Chastity wrestles with her guilt over her parents’ murder and her new “unlife”, her already fragile world gets shattered when she faces her most bloodthirsty enemy…her little brother!?!? Can Chastity survive the brutal onslaught of her soulless sibling? Will she have the strength to do what needs to be done? Meanwhile, Alyce continues the flagrant abuse of her vampiric powers and attracts the attention of the mysterious Council! All this and Chastity’s only living relative arrives to take her home! But in what world does Chas belong?

Chastity 3_Variant CoverThe return of the Chaos! line-up has certainly been interesting thus far. Speaking as a collector who never had the extra coin to join in on this stuff in the past, I’m happy to say that I’ve started now. And this creative team delivers a sturdy supernatural feature that actually carries some worth.

Marc Andreyko pens the script and all I have to say is that this is one author who gets the nuances of how to write an unlife struggle. There’s a lot at play in this outing, so much so that it would be easy for the text to jump the shark, but from the dialogue to the pace of the plot the whole thing remains sturdy and consistent. Chastity Marks has been through a lot and it’s only getting worse, but her sad story in a basic sense is endlessly entertaining nonetheless.

The illustrations handed in by Dave Acosta gives the right kind of feel to these proceedings. The entire piece is covered by panels with well formed renditions and steadily executed pencil strokes that inspire the imagination. Add in the colors by Thiago Ribeiro and the entire outing delivers more than enough visual substance to nail a proper look for this particular comic book.

Chastity #3 impressed me from beginning to end. It carried enough depth to further solidify the struggle of our protagonist as she attempts to just survive her current situation. Highly recommended.
