What’s up with our brand new super team, Triple Helix? Read on to find out.

Official Description:

“The team reaches out to help Trio’s Rock, but soon discovers there may be a traitor in their midst—unless absolutely nothing they know is real!”

I have to say that this world that John Bryne is trying to expand and add more to is something that I think is fantastic. We already have some things established within because of the previous comic but the way that he can expand and make prevalent is something that could be tricky but John Bryne does with ease. In this issue, particularly, you see Bryne shine with the mystery behind the story. Like the description says, they have the issue of a possible betrayal among them but from who is something that you will have to read on to TripleHelix-03-pr-1-68018find out.   I don’t like to ruin things and I tell people that so you that I won’t. The team is really coming along. I, personally, think that they could become the next men-esque team. I mean it is really starting to get fantastic. I really am liking the development of Ape. He is giving the beast vibe but without the angst, which is a plus.

The writing is getting better and better but I have to say that it can be kind of slow at times. I mean the writer needs a little focus. I wasn’t lying when I said that I was excited about this series, I just wish the writer would get some focus on one situation at a time. It can be a little jumpy. Overall, he is fantastic and I like it.

The art is exciting and fun. It is something that I find works really well. The artist adapts to the story and does so so fluidly that you know it was a good fit for this comic. This issue has some interesting things within it that the art really shines in.

Overall, if the writer gets some more focus I will give the series a five but for now it gets a four out of five.
