Robo Hijinks Are Afoot In “Avengers A.I.”

Just hitting the wire today via CBR. A new Avengers book title “Avengers A.I.” will be hitting shelves after the fallout from Marvel’s current “Age of Ultron” event. Written by Sam Humphries (current writer of Uncanny X-Force & Ultimate Comics Ultimates) & being drawn by Andre Lima Araujo, the team has an almost all robot roster consisting of longtime Avenger Vision, former Runaway & Ultron’s son Victor Mancha, a new character named Alexis, & a rogue Doombot that had apparently been held prisoner by the Avengers. Joining this all star cast of bots is former Avenger and creator of Ultron, Hank Pym & Monica Chang (the 616 version of Ultimate S.H.I.E.L.D. director, and shes also the ex-wife of that universes Nick Fury).

Here is what Humphries had to say about the new book:

“The Marvel Universe within the blink of an eye is being colonized by A.I.s who may or may not have positive feelings about the way humanity has been treating them for the past 100 years,”

So it looks as if the book will deal more with the fallout of “Age of Ultron” than other Marvel titles.

No official release date has been announced as of yet, but I’m expecting to be a week or two after the event finale which also promises the coming Angela.

So what do you guys think? Does this rag tag team of bots have what it takes to exist in a world post-ultron? Or will they be sent to the scrapyard? Let is know in the comments below.
