Minimum Wage #4 Review

Oh buddy, what is going to happen to our favorite minimum wage worker Rod, in this hilarious series? Read on to find out.

It’s hard to tell if it’s celebrating or medicating, but on the heels of Rob signing a new lease, he and the boys hit the town hard in an alcohol-fueld swirl. Goth girls, trench coat Mafiosi, jock thugs, and more populate the fourth chapter of BOB FINGERMAN’s so-real-it-hurts series.

Okay, so the world is a cruel place and is even crueler if you don’t know what to do or where you are going and that is what is going on with Rob. I love this series because it is some funny because of how real that it is. MinimumWage04-Page3Well our buddy, Rob, is working on getting a new lease on his apartment, now whether or not it is a good thing has been yet to be decided, however, him and the boys decide to go hit the town. Now, knowing our characters they can’t just have a nice time out, there has to be a mess of trouble.

This chapter’s messes come in the forms of some Goth chicks, someone that is kind of a thug, some real douche bags, and some other interesting and ever changing characters. It is super interesting and always a riot.

The writing for this series is fun and hilarious. It really doesn’t take itself too seriously but, also, has some great messages. I love that part of the story. Rob is so likeable and cool but, also, can be bad sometimes that it really does make us like him and root for him.

The art is also very real and gritty. It is something that I really enjoy. You should really check out this series.

Minimum Wage #4 is fun and real, allowing for a new breed of comic books.
