Mars Attacks: First Born #4 Review

The ending of the nature vs nurture battle is finally coming to the end. It is both bitter and sweet. However, what will be done with our hero’s?

The Martians have come to claim their own and won’t let any humans stand in the way! It’s live free or die time as Ryall and Kieth conclude their alien adventure!

Mars Attacks: First Born is kind of an interesting ride. I mean it’s  not your straight up MartiansMarsAttacks-FB-04-pr-1-a291e vs Humans war. It is actually much different. It has been a story about normal people coming together to raise something that is really not from their world. Each character has their own thoughts and feeling about the way this character should be raised and if it is right to raise this character for safety reasons. It is something that has been interesting to develop. This issue is really the ribbon on the present. It deals with the characters having to defend their reasoning behind keeping and why they raised this creature. It is both liberating and heart breaking and really adds a new level to the comic. Also, the need for the Martians taking back their own is really a stake raiser. It is fantastic.  I have to take my hat off to it.

The writing that Chris Ryall has in this series is just great. I didn’t start liking it but this issue really has changed my opinion at the end when looking back. You will have to look at differently when you read this issue and you have to see the overall arch.

Sam Kieth does a great job of showing us the characters for the artistry. It is something that I have realized looks kind of like a kid’s book which adds to the characterization because they all are like kids trying to raise this creature. It is really nice to see that transition.

Mars Attacks: First Born #4 is a great ending to interesting story.
