Lineup of 2000 AD ‘s 2012 Fare


We’re halfway through 2012 (sad, I know) and we’ve already witnessed some pretty epic comic adventures from 2000 AD, but in case you’ve missed some of the fare, here’s a quick bit of info to catch up.

As it celebrates three and a half decades of some of the greatest comics of all time, 2000 AD is unleashing a flurry of top-notch thrills in graphic novel form into North America this year.

The Galaxy’s Greatest Comic has lined up a sizzling schedule of new releases, collecting classic and new strips alike in the year its biggest export, Judge Dredd, heads for the big screen with Karl Urban as the Lawman of the Future in Dredd.

It’s shaping up to be an epic year for US releases from the seminal British title, with work from writers such as Grant Morrison, Mark Millar, John Wagner, Pat Mills and Ian Edginton, and artwork from Brian Bolland, Chris Weston, Steve Dillon, Dave Gibbons, D’Israeli and many more!

This month, the Celtic barbarian Sláine returns with the first volume in one of the most breathtaking fantasy series ever. Sláine: Book of Invasions 1 (ISBN: 9781907992681 US $19.99/ Canada $22.99) sees Pat Mills’ axe-wielding hero begin an epic quest, with 122 pages of visceral work from award-winning artist Clint Langley. One of the all-time classics in the 2000 AD pantheon, the first US collection of Rogue Trooper lands in May.
