Colin Trevorrow and Universal are putting together it’s main cast for Jurassic World. We’ve seen Bryce Dallas Howard (50/50, Terminator Salvation, Spider-Man 3) and Ty Simpkins (Iron Man 3, Insidious 1-2) recently join the fourth installment. New Girl‘s Jake Johnson, who worked with Colin on Safety Not Guaranteed was also mentioned. A great start considering how interesting these actors are.

Hypable now says that Wes Anderson’s go-to-actor Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore, Scott Pilgrim) is rumored for a possible role. Other names linked by Variety include Josh Brolin (MIB3, Old Boy, Goonies, No Country For Old Men, American Gangster) and Garrett Hedlund (On The Road, Tron Legacy, Troy). Idris Elba had been originally mentioned by an unreliable source. I wouldn’t take that rumor too seriously. There was some speculation that since Lucasfilm is now at Disney the studio could look at Legendary Pictures to help out with Jurassic World.

I’d love to see Jake and Jason involved in Jurassic Park film. Having well liked comedians in the mix proves that Colin has a strong understanding of what makes the franchise special. While dinosaurs and screams are staples, the humorous moments help ease the tension. Some of the best moments in the first two films are the one liners. The characters toss out there in almost every scene. Jurassic World is set for a June 12th 2015 release date.
