We’re officially at the first week of May people, the week of the Avengers. While Marvel is claiming all the spotlight, DC is busy trying to rival them. Meanwhile, Image is here with a pretty strong week. From deadly women to soul-searching to ‘supreme’ beings, we have a pretty interesting week of titles, including two #1s. Why don’t we begin?
EPIC KILL #1
So here we have issue one of a new series from Image titled Epic Kill. C’mon, who doesn’t love a good mini-series? Epic Kill #1 is a comic you do not want to miss. There’s no powers or anything outer space space related, it’s just a story with people. Song is a great character, and the story is intriguing. For $2.99, how can one go wrong? Pick up Epic Kill #1, you will not be disappointed.

Mind the Gap #1
Wow. Here we have a rather unique series from Image in the form of Mind the Gap. I’ll be honest, I haven’t read too many comics like this. I’m used to the more action packed superhero adventure ones. or the more dark and gritty Detective Comics. But never have I read a comic such as Mind the Gap #1. When you read a comic, you know it’s good when you’re totally invested in it, blocking out all other sounds and distractions. That’ s exactly what happens when you read Mind the Gap #1.

Supreme #64
Ah, Supreme. I remember when the first issue came out awhile back to stellar reviews. I’ve heard a lot about this series, but this is actually my first comic of it. Supreme had the beginnings of being a violent version of Superman, the current series is apparently paying tribute to the Silver Age. There’s no getting around this, Supreme is a parody. This issue was filled with wink-winks to the Superman comics. By this tone, it appears I didn’t like the issue. On the contrary, I found it enjoyable. It’s not great, but it’s fun.
