Great Pacific #14 Review

Will Chas be able to keep up his “New Texas” life or will he fall into a world of disaster? Read on for more.

“‘DOPED’ New Texas has attracted pioneers, homesteaders, and hard-working laborers, all toiling to transform the plastic wasteland into the paradise of Chas Worthington’s dreams. But when a new, powerful drug derived from the terraforming processes threatens productivity, Chas has to make some tough decisions. Special ‘Trippy’ variant cover by ADAM POLLINA!”

What is going on in “New Texas”, I mean they are really becoming a great state but there always will be some hiccups.  I mean look at the things that are having a GreatPacific14-pg2-3dca8ball creating a whole new world. It really does look pretty great for a place that was terraformed. However, in this issue some things are even grander. I mean there is something even worse, that is drugs. That’s right, New Texas has drugs. The drugs seems to be like marijuana, except a little more lazy making. This is not good for Chas because now he has to do something to stop and make things go forward. Now, what he actually does is pretty great. I mean it’s clever but the results are what is worth watching. The way that this develops it’s pretty great.

The writing for this issue is pretty great. It does a nice job of flowing, whiling bringing p a legit problem that would be dealt with every new society. I just think that this could have moved a little quicker because it did drag a little bit. I wonder how it will deal with in the future. If it is important, then I will retract my statement of bringing it forth.

The art Is great and detailed. It works nicely with the writing and compliments it quite well.

The ways that drugs are dealt with in Great Pacific is a nice part of the series but moves kind of slow.
