Goners #3 Review

With the police precinct attacked and destroyed, and the children scared for their very live, what will become of the Latimer children?

“WE ALL FALL DOWN,” Part Three A family separated. A family found. A family death.

With the death of their parents still fresh in their minds but monstersgoners_03 attacking every 5 minutes, the Latimer children haven’t had a chance to breath or even grieve. This issue not only continues that trend but brings some more mystery to the Latimer family. The issue starts immediately where the last one stopped. Everyone barely escaped the precinct being destroyed by monsters. However, they do escaped to the outside where paparazzi and more are waiting for them. However, a mysterious figure, who owed their father a favor, helps them escape so that they can figure out more to the mystery. Meanwhile, their uncle, that we have been following has a duty to protect the children due to the fact he almost got Josiah  killed. He comes to a house looking for the children, instead we are brought more mystery as a man like the uncle is protecting a family, who have something to do with the family as well. Then, we get to the where someone may or may not be killed but I won’t tell you any more than that. You will have to read it to find out more.

Jacob Semahn continues to show us that he knows the horror genre but, also, the mystery genre. It is a very quick comic and really enjoyable to read. The characters are real, even in, a magical world. My only complaint is that it keeps giving us questions without providing any answers, not even simple ones. It’s a little frustrating.

Jorge Corona has a unique and hypersensitive way of portraying the world. It is very real but has this reality where anything can happen.  It’s a good way to see this type of comic.

Goners #3 continues an awesome series but it doesn’t answer many questions.
