Galaxy Quest: The Journey Continues #2 Review

What happens when a famous sci-fi television show gets a resurgence after going through a real sci-fi experience? Also, can it be hilarious? Read on to find out more.

The cast of the GALAXY QUEST have enjoyed a career resurgence since returning from their intergalactic adventure, but all that is about to be interrupted by Qint, an alien with a very surprising ax to grind against Jason Nesmith and the crew of the NSEA Protector!

So when I was told about the fact that Galaxy Quest wasn’t going to get a movie sequel, I was GQ-02-pr-3-f2124super bummed because that was an amazing movie but luckily IDW has answered a part of my hope by creating comic book series that gives me a look into this established world. This issue continues the fun by continuing to show our characters and the way that their lives have been affected with a revival of the series after they saved the universe. The nice thing is that this comic is a lot of fun. It isn’t as fun as the movie but it gets pretty close. This issue adds another fun dynamic by bringing characters from the outer worlds into these actors’ lives and the reason for this is pretty exciting and fun.

Erik Burnham does a really great job of bringing the fun and excitement of the movie to the comic book. He, also, knows that the comic book needs stakes and he brings them to the top and allows us to look see what happens next. It is really cool.

Nacho Arranz adds to the comic with this stunning art. It is done very well and matches the story quite well. It is super sleek and very attractive. The characters, also, look like the characters from the movie which is cool.

Galaxy Quest: The Journey Continues #2 is a continuation of the start.
