Dead@17: The Blasphemy Throne #2 Review

In the final chapter of a very interesting comic, there is lots to be done. Read on to find out more.

Nara meets an unexpected ally on board the spirit vessel Equinox. On Earth, Nara’s lifeless body is discovered, and a plan is put into motion.

Okay, so this is a very interesting issue of a very interesting comic, I will have to explain one part DeadAt17_TBT_02that is absolutely amazing in this issue. I don’t believe that it is ruining anything but it is just so good but let’s talk about some other things first. Okay so we have Nara that is kind of being held captive in a vessel but then we find out that an ally is coming forth and it is crazy. It was really cool to see this. Then, we have her body on earth and there are some very “crazy” people that really are trying to set in motion some bonkers stuff. It is really pretty intense but the big selling point is a scene with a guy who is talking to “God”. It is nuts. Essentially, the character reveals that he should have been Adam from the bible because he wouldn’t have betrayed the word of God. It is crazy. There is also a punishment that is given to him and I won’t reveal that part. It really sells the comic. It doesn’t explain some things great but I can by pass that.

Josh Howard does double duty with writing and drawing the comic and it really does a great thing for a comic, especially one that is elaborate like this. I mean there are characters that could only been envisioned in certain way and since the writer is the artist, he really gets that full effect. The writing is really cool. There are some reveals with some great ideas behind them. It is really fantastic.
