In 2013 NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment are going to unleash Injustice: Gods Among Us, an upcoming superhero fighting game set in a very destructive almost apocalyptic DC universe. Early details on the game reveal a cast of characters that includes (so far) Lex Luthor, Solomon Grundy, the Flash, Batman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn and Superman.

It should be noted that in the trailer above, the Flash narrowly avoided a massive ice attack which may hint at Mr. Freeze or Captain Cold making it into the final roster, but only time will tell. The character in the final game are going to be split into two basic categories, “Power” and “Gadget.” There will be environmental interactions but depending on the character you’ve selected and their category, will determine how they interact in a given arena.
Ed Boon had this to say on the environment interaction:
You’re really going to want to care where you are, in which background, with which character.
So what do you guys think? Are you excited to see the titanic characters of the DC Universe smack each other around? For me I’m a little mixed, I like the studio behind it and the games they’ve made, but I played Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe and that game (to me) was very underwhelming. This game looks like its got a promising start, here’s hoping that it turns out well.
