Bob’s Burger’s #4 Review

The Belcher family is back with another issue, but is it getting stale? Read on to find out more.

The official description from Dynamite:

Five never-before-seen stories from the Belcher family! Tina goes Gothic… and accidentally unleashes a dangerous Franken-Butt; Louise discovers what it’s like to disappear; Bob turns some of his favorite films into burgers; Linda delivers a demo tape and some album art; and Gene unveils “Chupacabra-Cadabra, The Musical.”

BobsBurgers04-2-989e4Okay, so things are interesting in this issue of Bob’s burgers. Tina’s story deals with a Frankenstein twist but with butt’s and it quirky and odd, like usual. It is a little more but is quirky. Louise gets the chance to disappears and gets a look at a world that doesn’t see her and it actually shows her a different look. Bob’s burgers of the day are pretty funny. I thought that it was quirky and cute. Then, Linda is still her awkward and Linda. Finally, Gene does another musical about Chupacabra that is pretty cute. I have an issue with the comic book because it is very boring. The reason that the show works is because these quirky characters are put into the odd situations of the world. This comic is just those quirky things brought forth and contained. It makes it hard to like and it is getting repetitive. I thought at first it was going to be good but now I am just annoyed.

Justin HookRachel HastingsMike Olsen, and Jeff Drake are good writers and know what they are doing but these characters are meant to be together and when separated it is really hindered. I wish they would do the show in comic book form but they don’t so it hurts it.

Tony GennaroFrank ForteKyung Shin, and Cecilia Aranovicho do a great job with the drawing. However, it is hurt by the writing and format.

Bob’s Burgers is predictable and boring.
