A Few More Details on the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Comic Series

By now you’ve probably heard that the popular show Friendship is Magic is coming to comics in November thanks to IDW, which is being written by Katie Cook. As a big fan of the show, I personally am really looking forward to it. If it can follow the show’s tone and being accessible to any age, we’ll have a true gem in the comic world. While nothing major has popped up, the official description for Issue #1 is out.

Welcome to Ponyville, home of Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and all your other favorite Ponies! Something’s not right in the town though, as some of the inhabitants are acting very, very strange! It’s up to the Mane Six to find the source of the weirdness before it’s too late!

This will be the first of a four-part arc. As we all guessed, the stories will not adapt the show’s episodes. I’m sure hardcore fans with a few dollars to spare are going to want to pick up all six ‘mane’ covers by Andy Price, which will be featured in an issue 1 boxset.
