The second issue in this re-launch is here, but does it capture something worthwhile or is this whole project starting to seem really unnecessary?  Read on to find out.

Of all the titles coming out of Top Cow these days this series is truly shaping up to be something very unique.  Readers are sent to the futuristic Millennium City where the corporation CDI has taken control and created two classes of machine enhanced people that are somewhat at war with one another, caught in the crossfire is morality and normal human life is its casualty.

Marc Silvestri and Matt Hawkins pen the script, and the duo continues to spin the origins of this complex and compelling narrative.  From the emotional scenes regarding Ripclaw to the cold calculating moments with the CDI Chairman, this little tale has a lot of meat to it.  However, one of the problems with that is the fact that the release relies heavily on narration which in turn bogs down the pace in a way that makes the story seem rather slow.  On the plus side the authors don’t waste much time with wholly unnecessary moments, as they try to sell some deep layers quite quickly and rather successfully.

Khoi Pham delivers his best work to date in this latest issue.  His panels are crisp, clean and detailed just enough to offer a visually engaging experience.  Each page ebbs and flows with tension, action and a plethora of honest emotions that simply imbue this world with the character this series needs.  Between the script and the proverbial pencil strokes this re-imagined corner of the Top Cow Universe is more than coming together.

Cyber Force #2 is a very sturdy continuation that suffers a bit from an overabundance of narration, but between the awesome art and solid development this issue more than earns a recommendation.
